Job Title: Academic Advisor

  • Provide information and guidance to Doctoral students in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program concerning academic programs, enrollment requirement, academic development and success, career path planning and preparation, etc.
  • Organize workshops and seminars to consult students in English and in Mandarin Chinese on program prerequisite and career development for students studying in the DAOM program and students from the Master of Science program in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Develop and monitor interventions related to student academic status and success.
  • Work with fellow stuff members and other departments to ensure that student inquiries are handled in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate student records and counsel students on remaining credits and courses that need to be completed
Requirement: Master of TCM, Education or a related field, knowledge of California Acupuncture licensing requirements, bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Job title: Public Relations Specialist

Duties:

  • Communicate internally and externally about the educational programs and research mission of the university.
  • Assist with various event displayers and integrated marketing communications to promote the university’s public image.
  • Develop and monitor interventions related to student academic status and success.
  • Prepare, review and edit communication materials to be released to media.
Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business management or related fields. One year work experience in job offered with educational institutions.
